The Football World Cup 2022 takes place in Qatar from 20th November to 18th December.
Thirty two teams to compete in eight groups.
Four matches will be played each day during the group stage, which will run over a twelve day period and see winners and runners-up progress to the round of sixteen.
Unlike at Euro 2020, there will be a third-place play-off game on 17th December.
Due to the compact nature of the tournament, event organisers were able to assign for the first time ever group stage games to a stadium and kick-off times for each matchday after the final draw, optimising the match schedule for spectators, teams, media and the global audience. A total of 64 games will be played to decide the winners.
