What is Vehicle Leasing?

In simple terms, leasing is the single most cost-effective and hassle-free method of driving a brand-new vehicle and with  The Indigo Group you can be sure that your business will be in safe hands.

Vehicle Leasing is essentially a long-term rental of a Vehicle. When leasing a vehicle, you make an initial payment then you pay a fixed monthly fee for the length of your contract. The Indigo-group provides three different contract lengths:

  • 24 Months
  • 36 Months
  • 48 Months

The leasing processes?

The leasing process starts with you picking the vehicle of your choice, which is followed by selecting the length of your contract and the estimated mileage. After that, you pay an initial payment, followed by  fixed monthly payments for the rest of your agreement.

Vehicle leasing includes road tax , so you don’t need to worry about paying for it separately. In addition to that, you can additionally add maintenance into your monthly payments for a fixed extra monthly cost . The maintenance can save you trouble and in many cases and it  can save you money. However, you’ll still  need to arrange your insurance. Once you’ve agreed on the contract, the leasing company will deliver YOUR vehicle.

What happens at the end of the lease?

Once your lease is completed, you return the car to the leasing company, and you’re free to lease a new vehicle. It’s just like giving the keys back to your landlord when you move.

As long as the car’s in the condition you have agreed, you won’t have anything extra pay. Due to you not owning you do not have to worry about selling it on. You can return it and get on with picking your new car – no hassle!

Fleet Reviews

The Indigo Group can also offer your company a fleet review on your current fleet leasing activity. Our Fleet reviews focus on how to maximise value for money, and they provide essential recommendations on any potential cost reductions. Participating in a fleet review can save your company a lot of time because managing a fleet is a costly, tedious and time-consuming task.

Furthermore, in today’s economic climate, you need to manage your business and aim to reduce costs, thus, making a fleet review significantly relevant. Additionally, a fleet review will also make you aware of changes to Legislation, Tax and Corporate Responsibility

Van Leasing

Van leasing is a long-term rental agreement offering the exclusive use of a van or pick-up truck for a set period. At the start of a contract, the customer pays an initial rental, followed by a series of monthly payments.

At the end of the agreement, the van is handed back to the finance provider without any further obligations, leaving the customer free to lease or purchase another vehicle.

Over the past few years, Van leasing has grown increasingly popular with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Van leasing is often a cheaper funding solution to buying a new van with a bank loan or dealer finance.

In addition ,van leasing gives the customer peace of mind as the customer doesn’t have to worry about depreciation or selling the van as this responsibility lies with the finance provider.

Car Leasing

Car leasing is essentially a long-term rental of a car. When leasing a car, you make an initial payment then you pay a fixed monthly fee for the length of your contract. The Indigo-group provides two different contract lengths:

Leasing has recently emerged as a popular option for consumers as it often provides the customer with a cheaper solution to buying a new car. With leasing you can enjoy all the benefits of driving the car but, because you don’t own it, you don’t have to worry about it decreasing in value over time.

Fleet Leasing

Fleet leasing is essentially where a company or a corporation have several vehicles for a set period for their business while paying fixed monthly payments.

These vehicles are passed onto their members of staff for business use; they can often be used for personal use. Once this set period is up, the cards are returned.

The fleet can then be replenished with brand new, updated vans and cars.

Fixed Monthly Payments

When leasing a vehicle, you know the exact amount you are paying each month, thus allowing you to forecast your cash flow and manage your finances more effectively.

Leasing provides the option for you to seemingly add maintenance and servicing to your vehicle at an added cost. Spreading the cost of service and maintenance makes your financial budgeting easier and protects you from inflation. It helps guard you against the risk of unplanned expenses and helps you plan more accurately.

No Risk of Depreciation

Leasing gives the customer peace of mind as the customer doesn’t have to worry about depreciation or selling the vehicle. Which is ideal as most vehicles lose up to 60% of their value over three years, and that is not your concern.

Tax Advantages and maintenance packages

Vehicle Leasing comes with several tax and VAT advantages. You can claim back 100 % of your tax expenses in some situations. You can claim expenses when you are leasing low CO2 emission vehicles or if you are paying for maintenance packaged with your lease. Tax breaks are, however, affected if the vehicles are driven for personal use.
