The Slave-Free Alliance is part of an international non-profit group that helps raise awareness of modern slavery and labour exploitation in the workplace and supply chains. There are currently an estimated 40.3 million people trapped in slavery or labour exploitation worldwide. Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority
The GLAA is a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB), governed by an independent board, that protects vulnerable and exploited workers. Their licensing scheme regulates businesses who provide workers to the fresh produce supply chain and horticulture industry, to make sure they meet the employment standards required by law.
