Our accreditations are important to Indigo as they demonstrate our commitment to maintaining the highest level of standard for compliance and risk management.
Indigo has proudly attained the CHAS accreditation since 2018. We’ve summarised the key points on what this means for Indigo and our clients.
What is CHAS?
CHAS is the UK’s leading provider of compliance and risk management solutions. These award-winning solutions have been created to help contractors and clients ensure supply chain compliance, mitigate risks and support efficient supply chain management.

There are three levels of CHAS accreditation; CHAS Standard, CHAS Advanced and CHAS Elite. Indigo has a CHAS Elite accreditation which includes the most comprehensive set of risk assessments, as well as:
- Meets SSIP requirements
- Includes Social Value Assessment
- Meets PAS 91 requirements
- Meets public sector requirements
- Meets Common Assessment Standard requirements
- Recognised industry-wide as the most comprehensive
What is the Common Assessment Standard?
The Common Assessment Standard is a leading accreditation program that is recognised industry-wide by contractors and related companies.

It was developed by Build UK, Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) and other accreditation bodies and industry experts.
The Common Assessment Standard ensures the prequalification process is standardised, which enables clients and contractors to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce supply chain risks and find reliable business opportunities.
What does the Common Assessment Standard include?
The Common Assessment Standard covers 13 key areas of risk management which reduces risk across the whole supply chain.
Why is CHAS important to Indigo?

Indigo has the highest, most comprehensive level of CHAS accreditation. This demonstrates to our clients our dedication to compliance across the 13 key areas of risk assessment set out in the Common Assessment Standards. As well as UK H&S Legislation and the requirements of the CDM Regulations 2015.
CHAS accreditation is reviewed annually and Indigo undergoes a thorough check once a year to provide evidence that compliance is met against each area. Time-critical documents such as insurances, policies and risk assessments are also reviewed and updated when they have expired or circumstances have changed.
This gives clients the confidence that Indigo is mitigating risk and operating our business at the highest standards levels set out in the Common Assessment Standard.
