Beyond strategic enhancements, the 2023-24 season will witness a significant transformation with the introduction of a new tackle height law. Players will be required to target tackles below the sternum, a pivotal change aimed at enhancing player safety and gameplay dynamics. The WRU has been proactive in laying the groundwork for this alteration through workshops, online coaching resources, and district meetings. This regulation will also extend to schools and age-grade rugby, fostering a culture of responsible play across all levels.
Indigo Group’s commitment to rugby’s values of teamwork and dedication is mirrored in its initiatives. “Rugby is more than a sport; it embodies the principles of unity and dedication that resonate with Indigo Group’s core values,” said Ian Cole-Wilkins, CEO of Indigo Group.
As the season approaches, Indigo Group is poised to unveil innovative initiatives designed to empower both Premiership and Community clubs. These initiatives will aim to create a reciprocal relationship where clubs benefit while contributing to the growth of local businesses.
Indigo Group is eager to welcome the upcoming season with these transformative changes, reinforcing its dedication to fostering growth, success, and responsibility within Welsh rugby.
